The Germany national football team (German: Deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft) represents Germany in men's international football and is governed by the German Football Association (German: Deutscher Fußball-Bund or DFB). Formed in 1900, the team has participated in FIFA and UEFA competitions since the 1908 Olympics and 1954 FIFA World Cup, respectively.
Major Titles
Germany is one of the most successful national teams in football history, having won four FIFA World Cups (1954, 1974, 1990, 2014), three UEFA European Championships (1972, 1980, 1996), and one FIFA Confederations Cup (2017). The team has also reached the final of the FIFA World Cup four times (1966, 1982, 1986, 2002) and the UEFA European Championship three times (1976, 1992, 2008).
