Arsenal hit 4 past Leverkusen in pre-season friendly
Gabriel Jesus scored a superb solo goal as Arsenal stepped up their preparations for the new campaign.
The Gunners ran out 4-1 winners against Bayer Leverkusen in their penultimate pre-season friendly at the Emirates Stadium.
Jesus opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a fine individual effort, before Granit Xhaka doubled Arsenal's lead just before the break.
Leverkusen pulled a goal back through Moussa Diaby in the 54th minute, but Arsenal restored their two-goal advantage through Eddie Nketiah just six minutes later.
Fabio Vieira then added a fourth for the Gunners in the 79th minute to complete the scoring.
The victory was a good workout for Arsenal ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on 5th August.
**Conclusion:** Arsenal's 4-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen was a positive sign for the Gunners ahead of the new season. Jesus, Xhaka, Nketiah, and Vieira all got on the scoresheet, while the defense looked solid. With just one more pre-season friendly to go, Arsenal will be confident of starting the season strongly. **1M visitors in the past month.**
