A long-awaited sequel to the beloved 1996 comedy "Happy Gilmore" is set to film at a historic golf club in New Jersey, according to a recently leaked memo.

The memo, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, reveals that production on "Happy Gilmore 2" will begin next month at Seaview Golf Club in Atlantic City.

Seaview is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf courses in the United States, having hosted numerous major championships over the years.

The sequel will see the return of Adam Sandler in the title role, reprising his iconic performance as the hockey player-turned-golfer.

Few other details about the film have been released, but it is expected to follow Gilmore as he attempts to defend his PGA Tour title against a new generation of golfers.

The filming of "Happy Gilmore 2" is expected to bring a significant economic boost to the Atlantic City region. The production is expected to create hundreds of jobs and generate millions of dollars in revenue for local businesses.

"We are thrilled to welcome the production of 'Happy Gilmore 2' to Atlantic City," said Mayor Marty Small Sr.

"This is a major investment in our city, and we are confident that it will bring a great deal of positive attention to our community."

Seaview Golf Club is also excited to host the filming of the sequel.

"We are honored to be a part of this iconic film franchise," said Seaview general manager John Daly.

"We are confident that 'Happy Gilmore 2' will be a great success, and we are looking forward to welcoming the cast and crew to our historic course."

Production on "Happy Gilmore 2" is expected to wrap up in the fall of 2023. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2024.
